Voted to Best Airlines, Best Airlines for Food

Conde’ Nast Traveler readers in the US voted EVA Air eighth among the top 10 Best International Airlines while those responding to Conde’ Nast Traveller in the UK ranked it ninth in the best airlines in the world. Respondents in both regions ranked EVA eighth of the best airlines in the world for food. Conde’ Nast Traveler and Conde’ Nast Traveller now reveal these results and more from their annual 2023 Readers Choice Awards survey on their websites. Condé Nast Traveller and its sister Conde’ Nast Traveler are luxury and lifestyle travel magazines. More than half a million readers rated their travel experiences in the annual survey, open for voting between April 1 and June 30, 2023. As they rated their travel experiences from around the globe, readers also shared insights into places and things they miss and what they can’t wait to get back to. Condé Nast Traveller describes its Readers’ Choice Awards as the “ultimate symbol and acknowledgment of excellence within the travel sector.”

Readers voted, using a questionnaire with lists of candidates in airline and airport, train, hotel, resort, cruise line, spa, city, luggage and country categories. To be eligible for Readers’ Choice Awards, candidates were required to receive a minimum number of responses and minimum overall rating. Candidates were scored based on criteria related to each category. Conde’ Nast Traveller previously recognized EVA in the Top 10 Airlines in the World in its 2021 Readers’ Choice Awards.

EVA is one of only 10 SKYTRAX-rated 5-Star Airlines worldwide. It also won 16 separate SKYTRAX awards, including ninth place among the “World’s Top 10 Airlines” and landed top spots for “World’s Best Premium Economy Class,” “Best Premium Economy Class Airlines in Asia” and “World’s Best Premium Economy Inflight Catering.” Travel + Leisure readers voted it in the Top-10 World’s Best International Airlines for 2023. TripAdvisor recognized it among the “Top 10 Airlines – World” and awarded it top ranking in four more categories in its Travelers’ Choice Awards for Airlines while it also earned eighth place in AirlineRatings.com’s “Top 25 Best Airlines in the World for 2023” and won similarly high ratings for safety and COVID compliance in January 2023.

Comfort, service, value earn “Travel + Leisure” readers’ votes

EVA Air has won more accolades, this time from Travel + Leisure’s  readers as one of the “World’s Best” 10 Favorite International Airines of 2023. Based on their experiences with cabin comfort, inflight service, customer service and value, readers responding to the publication’s annual “World’s Best Awards” survey ranked EVA 10th. Survey results are available on the “Travel + Leisure” website and will appear in the August 2023 print edition, on newsstands July 21. As EVA steadily restores its schedules to pre-lockdown frequencies, it is also working to tailor procedures and services to better accommodate passengers’ personal airline travel preferences.
“We are continually improving and upgrading EVA’s digital services. At the same time, we are collaborating with luxury-brand leaders such as Giorgio Armani, FURLA, Kipling and Jason Wu, creating brand-new amenity kits and pajamas for Royal Laurel and Premium Economy Class passengers,” said EVA President Clay Sun. “We are also elevating the inflight dining experience with more to choose from, including the world’s most famous of China’s traditional foods, Cantonese cuisine, and creative new desserts. The “World’s Best Awards” survey was available to “Travel + Leisure” readers from October 24, 2022 through February 27, 2023. Covering 122 lists of favorites, approximately 165,000 “Travel + Leisure” readers completed the 2023 survey, an increase of almost 25 percent from pre-pandemic voting levels. They cast more than 685,000 votes for more than 8,500 unique properties with airlines, airports, hotels and cities among them.

Ranks 9th among SKYTRAX’s Top 10 Best Airlines in the World

SKYTRAX, an airline and airport review and ranking site, unveiled its “2023 Global Airline Awards” at the Paris Air Show on Tuesday, 20 June, 2023. EVA Air has won 12 awards, including 9th place ranking among the “World’s Top 10 Best Airlines,” first for “World’s Best Premium Economy Class” and first for “World’s Best Premium Economy Inflight Catering.”  EVA earned distinction as one of only 10 SKYTRAX’s Five-Star Airlines  in May.

SKYTRAX staged its awards event on the second day of the 54th edition of the prestigious Paris Air Show at Le Bourget Airport, approximately 10 miles (16km) north of Paris. EVA President Clay Sun attended on behalf of EVA and accepted the airline’s awards.

“I personally want to thank our passengers from around the globe for their ongoing support of EVA. I also want to thank our entire staff who, throughout the three years of COVID-related lockdowns, worked tirelessly to improve the quality of our products and services,” said President Sun. “Now, as passenger demand climbs back toward pre-pandemic heights, we are accelerating introductions of new services,  finalizing plans to launch a wider selection of inflight meal choices and upgrading onboard courtesies and conveniences. EVA launched the world’s first Premium Economy Class in 1992, leading the airline industry and setting the pace for widespread adoption of this innovative cabin. As it continues to expand its fleet and network, EVA is adding its latest Premium Economy in-between the Royal Laurel and Economy Classes now on its Boeing 787-9s, refreshing and reconfiguring the aircraft.
